Milling The Casing
ZRL has developed the most advanced, robust, and reliable casing milling system available today. This video shows the ease and speed at which the ZRL System cleanly cuts a large hole in the casing. When working on a live Oil or Gas Well we also successfully capture the ‘steel plug’ in our cutter head, guaranteeing we have a hole before we drill our laterals (pictures available in our gallery section).This also allows us to assess the casing and cement integrity at the location of the original perforations.
Ease of Cutting Rock
This video demonstrates the ease and speed at which the ZRL System can penetrate a large block of sandstone. Years of research and development has gone into developing the most advanced Radial Drilling System available. Just like in conventional drilling, the ZRL system uses all of the same principals. All we need to do is apply weight/force to our nozzle, and as demonstrated in this video, the ZRL System will cut a large (approximately 2”) tunnel into the formation, extremely quickly.
Down Hole Simulation
This video simulates how the ZRL System exits our guide shoe in a ‘down hole’ environment. Being the only Radial Drilling System that works just like conventional drilling, ZRL can push their nozzle up against the rock and apply weight. This can easily be seen at the surface, where we increase the pressure (up to 20,000psi if required) and all we then have to do is watch as the weight is drilled off before applying more weight. During this video the block of sandstone was drilled with only 10,000psi.
Increase Production
Expert independent modelling suggests that Radial Drilling just three 50ft Multi-Laterals can increase an Oil or Gas wells’ production by 300%-1000%. Bypassing formation damage with a large 2″ tunnel and extending out into the producing formation can and will access large quantities of previously unrecoverable Oil or Gas.
Increase Asset Value
Radial Drilling can substantially increase production, which can also lead to an increase in the total amount of recoverable oil/gas from any well where our Multi-Laterals are drilled. This can lead to a significant increase in cash flow and asset value.
Economics
Multi-Laterals are Radial Drilled very quickly and efficiently. The oilfield is all about economics, and we are sure there is no better Radial Technology available today to profitably increase the value of your assets. A well typically takes one week and the only equipment required is a workover/pulling unit.
